LARRY H. MILLER GROUP OF COMPANIES ENTERS INTO AGREEMENT TO PURCHASE HILLSBORO HYUNDAI
SALT LAKE CITY (March 22, 2010) – The Larry H. Miller Group of Companies (LHM Group) has entered into a purchase agreement with Joe Khorasani, of Hillsboro Hyundai located at 2871 SE Tualatin Valley Highway in Hillsboro. The LHM Group began operating at the location on Monday, March 15, 2010. Official operations will commence after receiving formal approval from Hyundai Motor America which will hopefully be granted by the end of April. No terms of the deal have been disclosed.
“We are pleased to add another dealership to complement our existing Honda location in the Portland Metro area,” said Tony Schnurr, President of the Larry H. Miller Automotive Division. “Dealing with the Mr. Khorasani has been a pleasure and we feel that their values and business operations are a good fit with ours. We look forward to earning the business of local consumers and providing them with good value and trusted place to do business.”
The LHM Group plans to retain the current dealership employees and add a general manager to replace the retiring Mr. Khorasani.
The Larry H. Miller Group of Companies operates 18 different brands under 37 auto and one motorcycle dealership location in seven western states.
Specializing in the sale of new and used automobiles, each dealership also offers financing and insurance products to customers through Prestige Financial Services and the Landcar companies, both also owned by LHM Auto.
An important part of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies mission is its charitable endeavors. The late Larry H. Miller coined the phrase “Go about doing good until there
is too much good in the world.” In 1995, Miller and his wife Gail established Larry H. Miller Charities, a non-profit foundation that operates as the charitable division of the companies. Funds available for donation come from business, employees and fundraisers in the community. All funds raised in each community where the company does business stays in that community to benefit children in the areas of health and education.
